Recycled Planters

I was going to throw these old boots of Ms. Burrito but  I held on to it and  thought of using it for something.  Then it occurred to me that I can use  them as  planters.  What I did was cut  off an empty  water bottle and insert it inside  then I separated the plants that it used to be on that vase in the middle.

Miss Burrito picked some Double Layered  Poppies in our garden and  put it in the vase.

She got inspired and started painting the  double layered  poppies.  She painted using her fingers.   So there you go friends, our recycled planters and my  little artist  at work.

That is such a clever idea. I have used the smaller ones for pen and pencil holders using paper towel rolls cut down and then construction paper on the bottom so they did not get messed up. This si great for bigger shoes.

I love recycling, it saves you more money and at the same time, it shows your creativity through the new things you did with the old items you have.

Oh how clever! :) Thanks for the idea, I might as well figure out how to recycle old things too, rather than just throw it away and contribute to the trash problem. :P
