Birds of Winter

The other day, a flock of starlings landed in our yard. My wife got excited and ran to get the camera but as soon as she opened the door, they all flew away. Luckily they stopped by at our neighbor's rooftop and she was able to take some photos.
But one brave guy, a robin, was left in our yard and was posing for the camera.
I don't know what kind of nuts there is in the yard that he stayed.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Cleveland Airport

We had a brief lay-over in Cleveland on our way to Baltimore. While sitting at the gate, we took some pics of the happenings outside. Weather wasn't favorable but the flight line personnel didn't let it bother them at all, they just kept on working.

We flew on the propeller plane going to Cleveland and then picked up a jet going to Baltimore. When we arrived in Cleveland, we were sitting on the plane waiting to disembark the aircraft and we could hear the flight line personnel unloading the baggage.

A female employee was yelling at her coworker "This damn plane is going to blow up". Even though this got a few chuckles out of some of the passengers, I felt a little embarrassed for the airline.

Have a good day everyone.

Melting Icicles

Do you see the droplets coming from the icicles. These were taken by my wife last week when the icicles were starting to melt. You can hardly see the water but they hard to catch on camera.

Looking at these photos in the summer time brings me chills!~

Eagle and some birds

As we drove going home yesterday from Maryland. My wife busied herself taking pictures of stuff while I was driving. Our sony digital camera only has 12.1 megapixels with an optical zoom of 5x so it is not really good in taking photos on far distances. So the photos of the birds are so small plus the fact that we were driving. The first one is an eagle.

A flock of birds, not sure what are they.

I can't believe how many farms we have passed. Rose was frustrated that she did not able to take good pictures of the cows and horse.

Bunk Bed Bliss

When I arrived from school the other day, my son missed me so much that he wanted to play right away upon my arrival. He was having so much fun and I took the opportunity to capture them. It's a bliss to see your kids laugh because they enjoy your presence so much, its very rewarding!

Here's something for Blue Monday.

and for mellow yellow Monday.

Have a great week everyone!

Art Enthusiast

This is the imaginary village where our daughter wants to build her home when she grow up. She did this when we were still in Korea.

It's funny how kids can think of this kind of things in their young minds. We tried to bring this here in the mainland but it got mashed in the package.

Thanks for dropping by everyone!

Valentine's Day

When we unpacked our stuff, my wife was bummed out that one of the three things that she brought out of our wedding gifts from the Philippines got damaged. This lover swan was given to us during our wedding by one of Roses closest friend and also one of our godmothers when we got married. It is hard when things that has sentimental value is getting damaged. But that is part of moving from one place to another. Anyhow, I glued it back on with super glue.

Speaking of gifts, Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Do you have any idea of what you are going to get for Valentine's Gifts for your loved ones. My wife is not into material stuff, as long as we are debt free she is happy hehehe. But I am still thinking of something to surprise her.

Tunnels in Korea

Driving in Korea is so much fun and challenging. One thing though that I liked was even though the signs are in Korean, they also put the English words beside it. Our kids had so much fun when we were over there and driving a long location because you will pass through a lot of tunnels. Here are some snapshots that Rose took during our last trips over there.

Champ Keep them Busy

Having Champ (our Jack Russel Terrier) is like having another baby at home. It gets frustrating sometimes in potty training him. But the good thing is that, it keeps our children busy. Especially now that my wife and I are so busy unpacking our household goods. Champ gives the kids something to do and to play with.

Some people told me not to get a Jack Russel Terrier because they are super hyper but for me, it's an awesome dog. You just have to have that passion for pets I guess.

Those are the recent pics of them at our home.

Cold Days

We still have a lot of snow in our area so going out is really difficult. I encountered some icy road today while driving going home from my Dad's house. Here's how gloomy the sky looks when its cold and gray.

Have a nice day everyone!

Iced Water

This is the bird's bath in front of our house. The water is partly frozen. Happy New Year everyone!

Cold Night Family Walk

My wife and I went for a walk without the kids a couple of nights ago (before the snow came). When we came back, we told them about the pretty lights we saw in the neighborhood and they told us that they want to go too. So we took them out for a walk even if it was too cold the next evening. We offered to drive but they said they want to walk. I think they are getting tired of being in the house all the time. Here are some of the few snaps that we took

They are fascinated how these Christmas trees changed their colors.
My watery Wednesday would be the raindrops from our windshield when we drove down to Ohio shortly after we came home from Korea.
Have a merry Christmas!
