Butterfly Bush

My brother-in-law , Rick, gave me a butterfly bush. So I made another flower bed in our backyard for it. I added some celosia and mums.
I thought that the butterfly bush is not going to survive but it did and it's now blooming.
Now I get to see butterflies flying around our backyard.  Will show some more photos next time.

Entertwined

Some of you might remember the sunflower seedlings that my daughter gave me for mother's day this year.
We planted it together and now they are in full bloom.
I made them entertwined with each other because one was blocking our fence's gate.
These sunflowers inside were planted by our son out of the seed from the sunflower we had last year.  He spread it out  at the side of our house and there are four that  came out and live.
Sunflower attracts so many bumble bees but I love to plant them around the house.

Hibiscus in Disney

Hibiscus bloom I have seen in Disney World. I took a snap of it for Pink Saturdays. Please join the fun and help us raise some amount through your comments for a good cause.
God does not always remove difficulties. He uses them for our good and His glory. Smooth seas does not make skillful sailor. It's the trials that makes us stronger.

Jungle Cruise

Another exploration we did in Animal Kingdom is the Jungle Cruise.  A tour guide took us to a river  boat and  introduced us to different critters.
The critters weren't real of course but it's entertaining for the kids as some spits water, moves, and make their noises.  It's educational as well as relaxing.

Donsol, Sorsogon, Philippines

Donsol, Sorsogon, is the  town where I came from in the Southern Philippines.  It is the place where you can see a lot of the friendly Whaleshark or locally known as  Butanding.
Map of Sorsogon showing the location of Donsol
Donsol had been a town known for its existence as a popular tourist destination where, in the bordering sea, whale sharks can be seen. Donsol is considered the unofficial 'Whale Shark Capital of the World' with the largest number of recorded sightings of these gentle giants anywhere in the world. Swimming with whale sharks had been ranked as the Best Animal Encounter in Asia by Time magazine in 2004.
These creatures can be seen all-year round except when there is currently a typhoon, their presence is peaking between February and May.

Interaction with the whale sharks is regulated by the local department office. With the help of WWF strict guidelines were developed to protect the sharks. These include limiting the number of swimmers per boat (six), no scuba divers and staying further than three meters from the sharks. In practise this rule is almost never applied. As many as 14 boats at a time may 'mob' a shark, with up to 30 or 40 swimmers following the shark on the surface.

In recent years the number of male sharks have out-numbered female sharks by 20:1. The females that are seen are generally large mature adults in the 7m ~ 9m range. Increasing numbers of sharks show propellor marks on their backs. Anecdotal evidence from local fishermen suggests that prop strikes are from fishing boats in the off-season, rather than from tourist boats in the main Jan ~ May tourist season.
In 2006 five sharks were found dead on the surface, within 30 miles of Donsol. They had all been shot at close range. One shark had 13 bullet wounds to the head. The locals blame this on commercial fishermen shooting the sharks if they are caught in their nets. Mantas, which are also protected in the Philippines, are also over fished and sold in local markets in the Sorsogon area.

Tourism continues to develop slowly in Donsol. This is mostly due to the lack of any real tourist infrastructure. Groups from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines make up the largest groups of visitors. Most book guided tours with dive centers familiar with whale shark interaction.

Below are photos  when we first  went for a vacation in my hometown with the kids.  My husband and son  have celebrated their birthdays there and we went  and tried diving and swimming with the Butanding or whalesharks.

The photo I took of the whaleshark isn't really clear but it's god enough.

Twin Daisy

I  put the daisies that my FIL gave me for my birthday last year inside the house.  I thought it died but when I put the  pots outside this year, it grew back.  It bloomed,  not just one but two   flowers in one stem.  Have you ever have a daisy that blooms like this  before, it is my first time so I am curious.
It is now in full bloom but I  wasn't able to download  the picture I took yesterday.  Here are the shots I took yesterday.

Thanks a lot for  visiting.  Your honest opinion on my photography is highly appreciated.

Hollywood Studio Attractions

Here are some attractions at our first stop in Disney World, Hollywood Studio tours.  We did not get to experience what's inside Little Mermaid because the line was so long.
We went inside American Idol Audition just to see how  auditioning  feels like, but no, we did not audition hehehe.
We did not get inside this part either.  There are so much things to do in  there but time is so short to do all of them.
I just contented myself taking photos of the things that we did not get to see and do.
Oh, I love this flower.  It so exotic looking, too bad I did not see any sign name of it so I dunno what this is.
Doesn't it look like a bird or something?

Cleome

One of the flowers I have in my garden that bumble bees and other critters like is the Cleome.  Some people calls it a spider plant because of it 6 thin legs.
I love this plant because it is very easy to grow and they multiply and comes back every year.
I am also fascinated  by the way they blossom and everything.
In one stem, you will have a big ball of blooms just like   a firework.
Bugs love it.  It doesn't have a  nice smell though.
They are now in full bloom and you will hear the bumble bee buzz around all day.
