Exercise and Pleasure

Every time we visit my FIL, we always go for a walk at his neighborhood. We are trying to enjoy the warm weather.  It also gives us the  pleasure of enjoying the beauty  of the nature and at the same time have a little exercise..
I am not sure what this plant's name is but it is gorgeous!
Have a great week ahead everyone!

Lovely plants. The spiky ones looks like rambutans but the real fruit is never pink!

That second to the last photo looks like rambutan to me hehe. And the last photo looks like blanket flower but with different colors. It is fun to walk around the neighborhood ^_^
Thanks for the visit!

Those spiky things ... are NOT Rambutans ... and are definitely NOT edible - I am fairly sure (as sure as I can be without actually being where the plant is ;-) that this is a castor oil plant - in which case - the seeds inside those pretty pink balls are extremely poisonous!
btw ... yes I did notice that they do look a bit like rambutans ... I also thought they looked a bit like Datura (another very poisonous plant - lol) ... but I did a bit more searching and found a picture of a castor oil plant that looks almost the same as yours - lol (and that was the "ah ha moment" - because castor oil plants grow as a weed here in Australia and I know what they look like ... but the ones I have seen have not had bright pink fruit, which is why I didn't recognise it from your photo ;-)
