Photos of the Philippine team who showcased some Philippine products during the multi-cultural fair here in Weirton.
Some of the Filipinas who dressed up during the show. Most of them bought their customes in our country and have it shipped here.
The talented teens from Pittsburgh showcased their talents by dancing some of the famous folk dances in the Philipines. Below was their performance for the Pnadnago sa Ilaw. They have lit candles in a glass, one is placed on top of their heads, and one from each hands. They did not drop even a single one during the dance.
These one is the national dance of the Philippines which is the Tinikling. They dance to the tune made by bamboos being played by two person. If you're not fast and agile, your feet will end up being mashed as the music gets faster. They did wonderful!
Even Ms. Burrito was encouraged to dance lol. I caught her standing and imitating their steps and when she realized it, she sat down and looked at me like this, so I snapped a photo of her lol.
Have a nice week ahead everyone.

Oh how fun! The dancing brings back good memories cause I used to perform Filipino folk dances in Illinois with a group and taught kids in Florida the dances and they used to perform too....Christine
