I don't know if you will call it addiction but I don't like tossing cute containers like this. I always think that I am helping mother Earth by recycling this plastic containers into something instead of putting them in the garbage. This is was the container of the nail polish remover that I got from a beauty box subscription and thought of turning it into a jewelry container.
These are the jewelries that I got out from the candles I reviewed so I did not have boxes for it. Turning the empty containers into a cute jewelry box by decorating is a great idea. I used nail polish and craft foam for the decorations. So now, those cute jewelry has their own containers.
I don't know if it's an indication of a hoarding problem but I am like that, I always think that there is a use for empty boxes or containers. I think it has something to do with how my parents raised us. We never throw anything, we always recycled things. We did not have much but that's how we got by with just so little income. I applaud my parents for doing that though.
Today is Earth Day and I am celebrating at home by recycling some stuff. I also started my compost this month, this is my first time trying to compost for my garden so hopefully, it would turn out good.

I am sure your composting will turn out fine. And there have been many times that I have recycled plastic containers into holders for other items. I generally put most of them in the recycle bin--but still have a bunch which are now serving a new purpose in life!
I have a lot of empty containers here that I recycled. Why buy a container when you can have it for free, right? ;)
