We were out the whole day yesterday. We went to Newell West Virginia to Homer Laughlin as they sponsored the Fiesta Festival plate painting for kids. We haven't done this despite the invitation from the previous years as it is a bit far from us but we decided to go this time since both of them are big enough and very interested in doodling. I was disappointed that my camera's battery was drained but glad that my camera is a hero and was able to snapped some photos.
They were given each of this receipt. They need this for claiming their plate.. We need to go back there in two weeks.

Here are some of the plate painted by kids from previous years.

They were given a paper plate first to practice their sketches while waiting for their number to be called.

My son got done with his plate right away while my daughter who is a bit perfectionist keep changing her design. I will show you their plates once we collected them already.
I love doing things like this - and it's so nice to have something useful at the end of it! Looks like you have some creative kids! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun, unusual and entertaining way to spend an afternoon. I'm sure your children enjoyed it--and they will be ever so proud of their finished plates.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of those mode of arts that I like. Aside from it is a good way to practice the artistic skills, it is affordable too.
