Cucumber or Pipino in Tagalog

I planted six  cucumbers this year because we all love   to have it for snack.

This is the second  batch of  fresh cucumbers  from our garden.  My kids love dipping it with ranch, I just love  eating it plain.  I also love eating  it after I eat BBQ or  steak.

How about you, do you like cucumbers?  For non-Filipino readers, cucumber is Pipino in  our Tagalog language.

  1. Yes, I love cucumbers, with or without dressing. I have been meaning to make myself a couple of little cucumber tea sandwichs!! So nice to be able to grow your own!

  2. i love pipino but sometimes i get tired eating it. to make it more interesting i make my own dip which is actually just vinegar with a dash of black pepper + a pinch of turmeric.

nothing beats eating fresh produce from your very own backyard! you rock! :)

  4. I usually only eat English cucumbers now. I started eating them in Europe and haven't stopped. I eat them by themselves or in salad. They are a great afternoon snack.
