Bee Balm

Monarda, Bergamot , or  commonly known as Bee Balm  flower.  This is also known as horsemint and oswego tea.  I love the smell of it's leaves when you rub it  in your palm, it  smells  like a spicy but very fragrant oil that is soothing, at least in my sense of smell.

I don't have this plant in my garden but my SIL Jill  has so many of this in her garden.  This photo was taken from her plants.    She is very fond of this as it  blooms every year  right around  the celebration of  the 4th of July.  Do you have Bee Balm at your garden?

  1. Saw this kind of plant in another blog. I didn't know it's a kind of tea. Interesting. Beautiful and useful both to bees and people.
