Purple Bearded Iris

I started with a couple of this Purple Bearded Iris and now I have a whole row at the side of our house.  It's a very low maintenance plant and when it blooms, it's heavenly both for the  looks and smell.

Frost

Some of my plants died after the surprise frost that we had a couple of weeks ago.  I hope that my butterfly bush will grow again.

Luscious Leaves

I don't know what kind of flower is this but it's beautiful.  This is from our neighbor's garden.  I love its luscious leaves against the beautiful blooms!

Purple Clematis

My purple clematis has bloomed already.  I hope that the cold weather  won't kill it.  My butterfly bush was affected by the cold weather that we have been having.

Tulip Bulbs

I bought two boxes of tulip bulbs last year but forgot to  plant it before winter.  So I have to wait until September before I could  plant this.  I hope they would grow so I'll have some tulips next year.

Fire Extinguisher

Do you have a fire extinguisher  at your home?  We don't have one but  come to think of it, I think that it is  an  important thing to have especially if you have kids like mine whose curiosity is in full force.  I looked up the prices of fire extinguisher online and it wasn't that bad.  It is actually affordable.  This water Fire Extinguisher only cost £28.50 .  My daughter's school always conducts a fire drill annually and they get to learn  important things on what to do during fire and how to avoid it.  I find it necessary for the children to be aware of this  important  subject.

Navy Blue

The wicker  patio furniture that we bought has a Navy Blue color  cushion so I added few more  blue accents like the marbles and the planters.

Discount on Disney Tickets

As the summer time approaches, the kids keep asking us where are we going to spend our summer vacation. We had a nice summer vacation last year in Disneyworld and they want to experience it again.  We bought a park hopper last year  so we got to see   four  parks in Disney World.  We did  not have much time to explore  all of the attraction because of time constraints but overall, we had a blast.  Since both of my husband and my friend's husband were former military  men, we got the ticket very cheap.
My husband mentioned that  we could take  the kids to Disneyland  if we go for a major vacation again but I told him that we shouldn't do it this year.  Although we can get affordable disneyland tickets, the  pocket money for  food and lodging  will be a major  concern for me.  I want to  pay off the loan we made when we had our  porch built last year so I want to finish that first  before we take another big vacation.  If your family  is planning to go to Disneyland or Disney World this year, you might want to check out the ink I have provided above.  You can find  discount on Disney tickets from their  website.

PiƱata

The colors of the two piƱatas that the Burritos had so much fun with, goes with the color of Ms. Burrito's dress that day.  The first photo was taken at my  FIL's yard.
This one was the one at Starvaggi Park where the  Fil-Am families had a get together.

Sunlight

I took these shots using my Samsung Galaxy phone one morning when I walked my daughter to school.  I did not like the first shot because it had my finger   blocking the whole view so I took another one.  I like the line that the  sunlight created on the photos.

The most creative kinds of Mother's day presents

When it comes to choosing the gifts for the seemingly endless people that are on the list of our friends and family, the process of choosing the gifts that we are going to give can be one of the most frustrating experiences of our lives. During any of the many number of holidays in which gift giving is popular, like Christmas, birthdays, and anniversaries, we are obliged to do things like fight all of the crowds going to the store, and once you get there, there is a greater than likely chance that you will not even find the specific items that you are looking for.

Part of the problem goes back to the stores, and the fact that when you have massive crowds of people, such as the stores experience during the holidays, the shelves get messy, and disorganized, and the salespeople who work in the store become more and more difficult to find, because there are so many people who need their help. Even on holidays such as Mother's day, it is difficult to get all of your goals accomplished. If you look closely at these stores, you will see all kinds of different displays full of items that the store is telling you that you need to buy in order to make the other person happy.

One of the best ways to get away from this kind of mentality, and be more creative with all of the different gifts that you are going to be giving, especially when it comes to giving gifts to your mom on Mother's day is by creating different kinds of Mother's Day gift baskets, which can be filled with all of the different kinds of things that your mom will like.

The most creative mother's day gift baskets are going to include different things like gift cards to your mom's favorite store, or things like specialty food items that are her favorite. If it is something that she would not buy herself, it will more than likely be a good idea for you to get for your mom. Everyone likes things that they will not buy themselves, because it shows a certain level of creativity, and it also shows that you care about them as much as they care about you. Often times, this is the most important part of choosing your gifts that you buy.

Often times, moms seem to put themselves last on the list. This is one of the reasons why it is so important for people to remember their moms, and all of the things that they do for them. The moms themselves more than likely would never ask their kids to do this for them, but it is something that is important for them to do what they can to help them out as much as possible, and at the same time, do as much as they can in order to make their lives as easy as possible, because they did the same for us.

Max's Broken Leg

This is Max when he still have his cast on.  I feel so bad when he got his  LEG broken.  He is now free with cast  but  I am always worried when he runs around.  Today, he tried to leap from our  porch  steps and  forgot about his leg  not fully healed yet and he  hurt himself again.
