I love the pink water lily. I like how it's pinkness/fuschia color stands out in the photo.

I really like to have a pond in my yard but I'm quite worried about it becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Maybe if it's a zen-kind of pond with running water or a small fountain with it, that may pass.

Great shots! Just curious, hindi ba yan lotus flower?

Chubskulit Rose said...

Hi Papaleng, these are water lilies as the leaves rest on the water while lotus leaves rise up a few inches from the water.

Yay, this reminds me of the waterlilies we have in our pond at the cabin. I love the pink ones we have and I hope they make it through the winter :)I wish I can also have the white waterlilies. Great shots!

Nice shot! We used to have those water lilies too in our mini pond. But due to the dengue scare, we decided to empty the water and put some soil in it. A soil based plants and flowers awaits to bloom.

One of the best water lillies information. Totally agree with the discussion.

Lorenzo Caum said...

Not entirely sure about the specific names but all three appear to be a variety of hardy waterlilies.
