Hormel Chili

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hormel Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

It seems like just yesterday, I was graduating from boot camp and taking on the adventure of my life in the navy. Moving from place to place and living as a bachelor, I quickly learned how to make the most of my time and keep it simple. In my earliest years in the service, I mostly lived in the barracks where means of cooking weren't always readily available. We had a really nice galley on base, but if you missed the scheduled meal times, you were on your own. This meant finding creative ways to use a microwave, because this was the only available means of cooking in the barracks.

With all of the physical training that I was going through, I was often accompanied by an extremely voracious appetite. I needed real food, not just the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that my friends were shoveling down their throats on a daily basis. It was hormel to the rescue. I could whip up a hot and hearty bowl of chili or beef stew in just minutes and have my buddies beggin' for leftovers. I had no problems maintaining the high energy levels needed for training because I was eating good food from Hormel.

Even after I moved into my own apartment and had a full kitchen, I would still rely on Hormel to help me conquer my hunger. I got creative in those days and some of my creations are still in use today. I really like Hormel chili on french fries topped with cheese and it's also awesome over a big plate of steamed rice. If you want something that will stick to your ribs and takes just minutes to prepare, check out the delicious assortment of fine dining from Hormel.
