The beautiful Lotte Hotel

This is the continuation of my post about our mini getaway during the memorial day celebration. The first photo was the front view of the hotel. It's an enormous hotel built in an island. This is just the front area, it has left and right wing building and the land scape is spectacular.

You can rent a paddle boat in this area.
This is the outdoor swimming pool.
The oranges fruit that Rose took a snapshot of.
This is the left wing of the hotel.
I'll post some more of the photos next time. Thanks for viewing guys and commenting as well..

Five Star Hotel

I have stayed at many hotels throughout my travels but I find the Lotte Hotel on Jeju Island the most impressive so far. Our accomodations were absolutely spectacular. The Lotte Hotel was booked by our MWR and I believe it is a 5 star. The hotel, including the grounds, were meticulously maintained and grand in all ways. It offers duty free shopping, casino, golf course, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, saunas, and even a show at dinner that resembles something from Universal Studios. Everything, right down to the toilet, was high-tech. I wasn't aware that toilets could be made with so many functions. I can't begin to imagine how much was spent in the construction of this hotel. The landscaping alone must have cost millions. Their dining facilities were outstanding and all of the employees were very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay at this grand hotel.

The bathroom was huge, the bath tub, the shower room, the toilet and sink are all separated.
The beds were so comfy and soft that it made us slept so good during our stay.
Here's the mini bar of the room with my goofy pose lol..
Even the elevators have beautiful designs and details on it.
Wow, of all the hotel I've stayed in, this is by far is the most deluxe!

Getting Wore Out

I am getting wore out with my online classes. I have to do a lot of research paper and assignments. I feel like I am stealing time out from kids because I can't play with them as much as I wanted to. This is the disadvantage of taking class online because all you do is prepare assignments that these instructors are giving you. It is so time consuming. Oh well.

On the lighter side, here is my dare devil chubs doing his trick. Aside from using the stroller as his obstacle course, he uses every chair in the house lol..
This one here, he just want to try his mom's outdoor stool..
Have a nice day everyone!

So Blessed!

I am back from our community service at Kojedo. I had a hard a time out there because a lot of the special children's situation is pretty hard. Some has a hole in the neck and other kids just can't sit steady. You have to hold them up so you could feed them. They said that most of those children are abandoned by their parents. This experience made me realized that I am so blessed with two perfect children. God really take care of them since conception till now. Thank you Lord!

Kojedo Aikwangwon Social Welfare

All the first classes (including yours truly of course) will go to a a Social Welfare Foundation in Kojedo Aikwangwon today. This is part of the COMREL that we have between Koreans. This place is called "The Garden of Love and Light." Here is a short description of the place that I copied and pasted from bnadigicom.com.

Kojedo Aikwangwon is a social welfare foundation that is a symbol of caring for the less fortunate. Located on Koje Island, the second largest island just off the southern coast of the Korean peninsula, it was founded in 1952 in the midst of the Korean War by our present Superintendent, Mrs. Im-Soon Kim. While its original mission was to care for abandoned orphans of the war, its services have been expanded over the years to care for the mentally and physically disabled children who have been abandoned by society. Aikwangwon is committed to providing them with the highest quality care.

Children's Creativity

I took my exam for my online class in math tonight, Oh man, it was hard! When I arrived the kids were already in bed but my wife showed me what they did before going to bed. Rylie asked her Mom to give her the empty ice cream containers (my wife don't dispose them but instead kept them in the seller) so they can play with it. I am glad to know that my kids are so creative when it comes to toys that they can play with. So guys, never throw your ice cream containers, it make a great drums for the kids hehehe.

and basebal target...

Yeah we have a lot of containers because my daughter and I love having ice cream for dessert hehehe.. Thanks for visiting everyone!

EJ's Agony

Our son EJ did not sleep well last night. He tried to poop before he went to bed but he didn't have much success. He was pretty agitated last night because of it, so my wife and I were wide awake from the middle of the night up until dawn. Rose tried to get him go at the potty but he was so afraid and just ended up crying. Here he is trying to let it out last night.

Concerned about his problem, we put a little vaseline on his anus this morning and that's when he went. He felt good after his exhausting ordeal and took a really long nap. It is a little tough pottytraining EJ as compared to our daughter Rylie. EJ is afraid to sit on his potty. Poor little man!

Growing up fast

Time really flies so fast. I am glad that I see my children everyday, that is my main reason why I really don't want to leave them. I don't want to miss the chance of seeing them grow up! I submitted my package for career advancement the other day and I am afraid of the result. If I advance, that would mean that I have to send my family back in the States and I will have a sea duty but it will give us a room for some finacial cushion. If I don'tmake it, its good because I don't have to leave my family... but... I am scared too of the employment opportunities outside the military.... Life is a challenge!

Obstacle Course

Did you ever get scared because your children does things that are dangerous? Our two kiddoes love making their own obstacles that my wife and I are scared about. Sometimes they love chasing each other under the dinging table, scatter the cushions and tumble on it and recently they are obsessed of using the double stroller as their climbing obstacle course. As you can see in the photos below, they put the stroller upside down and then use their plastic chair to climb and slide on it. Whew!
