Whaleshark Adventure

These photos were taken when we first visited my wife's family in the Philippines. In the island where whale sharks are plenty, in Donsol, Sorsogon. We decided to celebrate my son and I's birthday together there with a bonus of swimming with the whale shark. Whale sharks are very friendly and you can ride on their back while they swim. Please click the photo to enlarge.

Are whale sharks safe to swim with? It sounds scary to me.

Great to celebrate an event. Show us more, kabayan!

And what a coincidence! Have posted similar info on my facebook flashback, and first about Sorsogon here:

Great adventure. But would have been a bit frightened!

Just look at the colour of the sea in your pictures! Then look at the colour of the water in the Bristol Channel, near where I live! No bets taken for where you'd sooner live! LOL!

I would not swim in that water. I don´t trust the sharks.

What an experience swimming around whale sharks.
I have never seen them alive, but in the Kontiki Museum in Oslo, Norway, there is one stuffed. They are huge.

That's really an adventure of a life time. Someday I want to also visit the home town of Rose- Donsol, Sorsogon to also experience snorkeling with the whale sharks. Your kids must have been so thrilled by that extraordinary experience. Thanks for the post and photos. God bless you all always.
