Rylie's Shopping List

This is our daughter's very first shopping list. I remember before when she would just scribble on paper when making a shopping list, now she can actually write them. We just have to spell it for her but she did pretty good with her FSL.
Thanks for dropping by everyone!

weekend adventure

Hello there guys, how's your weekend been? Our family went to the beach yesterday and we really enjoyed the weather and the great view of the beach.

Our daughter took this picture of me and my wife.My wife loves this building, which is designed like a ship, on the other side of the harbor, so I took a picture of it.
The last time we went down to the pier, our daughter didn't get to ride the small paddle boats because of an approaching thunderstorm, so we promised her that we'd return the following week. One thing about our daughter is that she never forgets what you tell her or any promises that you make. I'm a man of my word . . . they really had a good time.

EJ was sleepy and falling asleep while cranking the wheel. He did not last very long in this ride..

The fee is 3,000 won for each kid and you get 3 rides each.. We still have two more rides each.
Have a great week ahead folks.

Traveling with Kids

Traveling is fun but when you have kids with you, it's a bit challenging and exhausting hehehe. During our latest visit in the Philippines, our son was so ornery. He was playing with the pebbles in the garden and just want to scatter them everywhere, whew!

He sat beside this Korean guy and watch TV...
Our daughter on the other hand is a very good traveler, we just brought her some of her art book and she was busy coloring them.

So when you are traveling with your children, make sure to bring something that they can do while waiting for your flight or else they will just run around the airport. Bring some books they can read or activity games.

A Water Bridge over a River

Have You ever seen a Water Bridge over a river?...... My niece Jen sent me this in email, I don't know if this bridge really exist.. I just want you guys to see it..

Even after you see it, it is still hard to believe!

Water Bridge in Germany . What a feat!

Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long.......now this is engineering!

This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany , as part of the unification project It is located in the city of Magdeburg , near Berlin . The photo was taken on the day of inauguration. To those who appreciate engineering projects, here's a puzzle for you armchair engineers and physicists.

Did that bridge have to be designed to withstand the additional weight of ship and barge traffic, or just the weight of the water?

Answer:
It only needs to be designed to withstand the weight of the water! Why? A ship always displaces an amount of water that weighs the same as the ship, regardless of how heavily a ship may be loaded.

Attracted to the Coffee's Aroma

My wife and I seldom drink coffee at home but when we were in the Philippines, we drink coffee several times a day hehehe. My son was attracted to its smell so every time we are done, he would get the mug and smell and he even tasted it and said "hmmmmnnn"..

Bathing Time at Grammmy's Place

I am grateful that our children get to experience the simple living out at my mom-in-law's place. They got to play with the kids there with no fancy toys and got to do the things that their mom experience then. Just like bathing outside the house using a basin and a cup or they call it tabo.. Our kids actually had so much fun with it. Here are some snapshots..

Thanks for coming by guys!

I Met the governor

When we flew going to Manila after my late brother-in-law's internment, a man talked to me in the plane. We had a little talk about why I went in Bicol and this and that. When I mentioned to him what province my wife is from, his face immediately brightened up. He told me that he is the governor in that province. My wife took a photo of us before we took off the plane. Nice talking to you governor!

Climbing Skills

I was so worried when I saw our children testing their climbing skills at Mom's place. They climbed at the grills of their front porch. My heart almost dropped when I saw them but my wife was so confident that they won't fall. They did it several times and they had fun.

I forgot that they got their Mom's skills in climbing lol..

Fun in the Ocean

I am so thankful that even if my in-laws live in a remote area, it is near the ocean. It is our main source of fun especially for the kids.. Here they are with my my late brother-in-laws two daughters.

My wife's Aunt join the fun.. She asked my wife about something but being ornery of my wife, she splashed her with the water.

Thanks for dropping by friends and for commenting..

Happy Birthday to our Princess!

Our Princess Rylie is celebrating her 4rth birthday today. We gave her a little party in the Philippines before we came back here. She asked us if she can have her birthday there with her cousins. We hesitated at first but then we thought that it was also a good time to cheer up her two sisters (she call her two cousins her sisters). May God bless you with God's graces Rye, we love you!

We're sick..

I feel bad and worried for my two children because they feel miserable. Our daughter has diarrhea since yesterday and now our son and I has it. It must have been from the food we ate in Manila before we left. I just hope that they feel better soon. It's hard when your kids are sick..

We're Back

Hello everyone, we just got back from the Philippines. Thanks to all of you who visited and gave your deep sympathy to our family. We are still recuperating from the loss. I feel so bad with my brother-in-law's kids, they are so young to face the tragic death of their dad. My mother-in-law is still grieving, she cried when we left..
